The Council for Exceptional Children is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted.  Our meetings include speakers with interesting information on a variety of subjects such as autism, learning disabilities, incorporating parents in the classroom, and other various strategies for providing students with accommodations and modifications.  Our meetings qualify for one professional hour, include snacks and a raffle, provide volunteer opportunities, and allow future teachers for a good opportunity for involvement.
